What Should I Buy My Girlfriend?

Although it would seem that it is easier to buy presents for women, some men find it hard to know just what to get for that special woman in their lives. And who can blame them? Luggage

The Hays Xcase is a 20" carry on with lots of room. In several great colors, this is the lightest 20" carry on bag in the world. That's a large claim for a bag with so much room, but buyer's rave about how light it is and, how much room it has inside. The new models even come with a TSA approved lock. One of the down sides about the glossy finish is that this bag will show scratches if you decide to check it. The Hays Xcase Exotic, also available in a multitude of color and print designs, is said to be much more hard wearing, however, it too has a gloss finish. With all the airlines cutting down on weigh allowances, the fact that it is the lightest bag in the world has a lot going for it.

Bedding

You can never have too many sets of sheets, and, adding a 100% Egyptian cotton set will enhance your girlfriend's collection. The set is available in Tan/Blue and Tan/Pink accents. It comes in three sizes, Twin, Queen, and King. The set includes a comforter, bed skirt and two sham pillow cases. The vine motif gives the set a classic and sophisticated look and would suit most bedrooms.

With an amazing sale price, the Harbor House Camellia, 8 Piece, Egyptian Cotton Goose Down Comforter 'Bed in a Bag' Set is a fantastic deal on Amazon. It comes with a real goose down comforter, duvet cover, and sheet set. With the money you saved you could even add a pink Barefoot Dreams robe to round off the gift. After all, you are saving over 0.

Shoes

Shoes, for most women, are like bedding. You can never have enough. If your lady likes wearing boots, a pair of luxury, yet functional, cowboy boots in full quill Ostrich will put a joyful surprise on her face. The Lucchese boots are hand made in Texas and are renowned for their quality craftsmanship. If that's too lucrative, why not go for the Goat leather, also by Lucchese and a fraction of the price. Have a look on Amazon; there are several other styles and colors to choose from.

If your lady likes extra height, but without heels, try the luxurious Italian leather shoes by Butter. They will look fabulous with a cocktail dress, or, a mini skirt. It is a luxury shoe at an affordable price.

Automotive

For something completely different, the SYU 11 piece car set will personalize her car with bucket seat covers, steering wheel cover, license plates and much more. Looking really cool, and funky, while at the same time it is functional. What better way to protect your seats from wear and tear, while also providing a comfortable and soft velour cover. Add an emergency LifeHammer (available in multiple colors) to round of this unique gift.

Staying with the auto theme a pair of ICON Twenty-Niner motorcycle gloves with leather palm will also make a great pair of driving gloves. Of course, if your girlfriend is into bikes, the gloves and VCAN MilanoEuropean style Crash Helmet make a great team.

This is just a start. Stay tuned for our next article where we give you even more cool and unique gift ideas for your girlfriend.

Childrens Bedding For Sharing A Bedroom

Decorating your child's bedroom in a manner that will be fun and inspiring for your son or daughter but also aesthetically coordinated to your tastes and the rest of the house is no small feat. When your kids share a bedroom, it can be twice as hard.

Boys Bedding Twin

Whether you have twins sharing a room or children of different ages and even genders, chances are they will not like all the same things and will have different ideas about how the room should be decorated. You can try the old method of drawing a line down the middle of the room and allowing your children do whatever they want with their respective sides, but this can create some pretty interesting and uncoordinated bedroom decorations.

Boys Bedding Twin

Better yet, use some general decorating guidelines and children's bedding and accessories to create a well balanced room that also allows each child to express his or her unique interests and tastes.

Start With Some Basic Guidelines

Before letting your kids pick out their favorite children's bedding patterns, set some general guidelines for their selections so that their individual bedding choices will end up coordinating together. Color is a great place to start. Help your kids pick a few colors that they will stick to when decorating their room. Keep the wall color or wall paper in mind when making color selections so that the children's bedding will compliment its surroundings.

You can stop at color and let your kids pick up from there, but if you have ideas about general themes that you'd like your kids to pick from, set those guidelines as well. Maybe both your boys love sports but one prefers basketball while the other likes football best. You can make sports the general theme of their room and allow each boy to pick children's bedding for the sport he favors.

If you want to have themed children's bedroom accessories such as wall borders, window treatments and knick knacks that all follow a general theme, it will be much easier to pull off if you limit your children's bedding selections to the same theme. For example, if you picked a Care Bears theme for your little girls' room, you can decorate the room with Care Bears accessories and then allow each child to choose girls bedding decorated with her favorite Care Bear.

It Doesn't Have to be Perfect!

Anytime you're decorating a child's bedroom, it's important to keep in mind that it doesn't have to be as perfectly put together as the rest of your house. Children enjoy wild patterns and mixing colors because they are learning about their own tastes and the world around them. So, try not to get wrapped up in having everything come together perfectly and shoot for helping your kids' express themselves within some general color and theme guidelines.

Detailed History of Gemini Sign

The Gemini sign is the third sign of zodiac year in the astrological study. It affects those people who are between May 21st and June 21st. Gemini is considered the child of zodiacal year in the astrological world of the zodiac. This sign bears a sign of two personalities. Gemini people are thought to be lively and they quickly alter from one course to the other without thinking too much about it.

Boys Bedding Twin

The Zodiac sign is fairly new in recent history; its origin goes back to the Ancient Greek times. However a lot of historians have proved that the key signs of zodiac are relatively older dating back to the early times of human writing. During those times, most of the written material was in the form of historical records. It is certain that the zodiac signs existed before writing was invented, moving to the time when oral accounts of humanity's history was passed from one generation to another being almost unchanged for centuries.

Boys Bedding Twin

According to some historians, cave drawings of people have been discovered which can also be an early representation of signs or gods. While the zodiac signs like Gemini seems to be discovered recently but they have been in this world for a longer time. In the view of astrology believers, it is proved that the destinies and trait inherit in zodiac signs have a quite long history of being believed and known. It was not just made in the fresh history as it is often believed by people who think astrology to be nonsense. New research findings have suggested that astrology is a method of predicting the future is much older as compared to many known religions.

Gemini sign has a special position among the Greek zodiac signs. It can be traced to the legendary story of two twin brothers called Castor and Polydeuces also known as Pollux. Castor was mortal and Polydeuces was immortal who was born in Queen Leda of Sparta. Castor's father was King Tyndareus while Zeus, the king of Gods was the father of Polydeuces. They were inseparable in life and remained inseparable in death. They are depicted by a constellation that shows the name Gemini depicting the stars - Castor and Pollux, forming the heads.

The legendary story of Castor and Polydeuces is an epic worthy of times. It tells how Castor and Polydeuces came to be in the heavens, Castor was an expert on horseback with a bow while Polydeuces specialty was using his fists for boxing. The twins were accompanied with Jason who was on his quest to bring back the Golden Fleece. It was long after when the two got tired of their adventures and made up their minds to marry and have kids that their story really becomes their unique one. The twins fell in love the daughters of Hilaeira, Phoebe and Leucippus, who were unfortunately promised to the sons of Idas, Lynceus and Aphareus.

The sisters were kidnapped by Castor and Polydeuces and they brought then to Sparta where they were quickly married and expected children within a little time. The sons of Lynceus wanted to steal back their promised brides and they were determined in their cause. They ambushed Castor and Polydeuces. When Castor was lying dead, Polydeuces pleaded to Zeus for giving him back his. Zeus agreed on one condition that they would share the immortality of Polydeuces. Therefore the twins had to spend hlf of their day in Hades and the remaining in Olympus. The mortals could only see them when they rose early at dawn from Hades to Olympus.

Regardless of the knowledge of Gemini sign as representing the twin brothers, Castor and Polydeuces or Castor and Pollux as Romans used to know about them. The reality is that the story is not directly related to the two heroes.

The real meaning of the story is related to the stars having the same name of the boys which are the first to rise early in the morning at dawn. More importantly, the two stars only rise in the spring. Gemini sign has a particularly special position because of its association with rebirth and spring equinox.

The Gemini zodiac is confined to the northern hemisphere with mostly early civilizations from Asia, Europe, North Africa and North America which gives extraordinary importance to the rising of twin stars during spring equinox. Those people who migrated across the equator to Asia and Africa still have myths related to the twins that fight for immortality. However in Australia where the ancient and the early branch of humanity was present. The Aboriginal people don't have any knowledge about the immortal twins, the myths shared by a lot of cultures were originated from the north when the humanity extended from Africa nearly 75000 years back.

Before the story of Castor and Polydeuces was told by the Greeks and Romans, other civilizations around were already aware of the twin stars. The twin stars were seen by Early Egyptians as two goats who return to their goat herd at dawn, including the two stars in their Ramissede Hour Tables. It was a useful scientific measurement of time during the day.

No one is sure when astronomy was studied and myths around stars were created by ancient Egyptians. However it is known that during the same time, the twin stars were referred as Gilgamesh and Enkidu by the ancient Babylonians. The twin stars were together known as Mastabba Galgal, they were also twin brothers and two heroes who fought a series of classic battles against the gods for attaining immortality. They were curiously worshipped for the same reason as the Greeks leading to the story the story of the Gemini twins Babylon was borrowed by Greeks and changed the story to suit their own history.

In the ancient Vedic books of India, the twin stars appear as Sahadeva and Nakula who were two of the Ashvin horseman of Indian folklore. The Indian constellation called Mithuna, it shows two horseman and it almost same hardly coincidental with the Greek constellation of Gemini. This means that Greek Zodiac signs must be having their origins back in the early oral history of humanity even before the invention of writing.

Freezing Homemade Baby Food

With our twin boys getting ready to start solid food, I have been
reading about making and freezing my own baby food. It is very
easy!

Boys Bedding Twin

You can make up large quantities of baby meals and freeze them
for later use.

Boys Bedding Twin

Green beans are in season and were on sale at the grocery store,
so I bought several pounds to prepare and freeze. I steamed them
in an electric steamer for about 20 minutes and then blended them
in the blender with some water until they were pureed. I then
poured the puree into ice cube trays. After the cubes were
frozen I transferred them to a reclosable freezer bag and labeled
the bag with the name of the vegetable and the date. These cubes
can be stored in the freezer for 1-2 months.

One cube is approximately 1 ounce of food and can be thawed out
in the refrigerator or microwaved for a quick meal. You can also
mix cubes together (e.g. one meat, one vegetable) for a
combination meal. The cubes also travel well, just place a
frozen cube in a sealed container until ready to eat...it will be
all thawed out and ready to go.

Many types of foods can be prepared ahead of time and frozen.
Try freezing cereals, pureed meats, vegetables, and fruits.
Fruits (except bananas) need to be cooked before they are pureed
and served to baby. Cubes of the same type (vegetables, fruits,
meats) can be stored in the freezer together.

The possibilities are endless. When you have leftovers from a
family meal, puree it and freeze it for baby. I also pureed some
leftover chicken I had on hand for a later meal. Just make sure
that baby's portion hasn't had any seasoning of any kind added to
it.

There are many resources that can help you get started. Here is
a link to suggested meal plans for babies of different ages. It
also includes information about storing and preparing food:

http://www.wholesomebabyfood.com/babymenu.htm

Here are many easy recipes for making your own baby food,
including teething biscuits:

http://www.recipegoldmine.com/baby/baby.html

Making and freezing your own baby food is very easy and I look
forward to exploring all the possibilities. It is healthier for
your baby and a lot easier on your grocery budget.

It's a good thing the green beans will keep in the freezer for
awhile, because when I gave a bite of them to my 4-month-olds
they looked at me like I had just fed them the most disgusting
thing they'd ever tasted. Guess we'll have to try something else
first!
